As an Airfreight Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth operation of airfreight shipments from origin to destination. Your responsibilities will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, carriers, customs officials, and internal teams, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Coordination: Manage the end-to-end process of airfreight shipments, including booking, documentation, and tracking.
Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
Carrier Management: Liaise with airlines and other transportation partners to secure space, negotiate rates, and ensure adherence to service standards.
Customs Compliance: Ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements for international shipments, including import/export declarations and permits.
Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping documents, such as air waybills, invoices, and packing lists, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
